📣 I’m fundraising for Khmer Girls in Action (KGA) for Give In May, because KGA understands the importance of uplifting and advocating for young Southeast Asian voices and creating safe, empowering spaces where we can thrive. 🇰‍🇭 What better way to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month than supporting Khmer youth in Long Beach?? 

🌸 KGA is important to me because, growing up as a first-generation college student in an immigrant household, I often struggled to find a community that embraced my culture and understood my experiences. I didn’t have mentors who looked like me or shared my background—people who could guide me through things like applying to college and build my leadership skills at such a young age. That’s why KGA’s work means so much to me. They provide the kind of space I wish I had: one where Southeast Asian youth feel noticed and empowered to become leaders, and a welcoming space where youth can openly and freely celebrate and uplift our culture! 🇰‍🇭
