Please join us to celebrate and support the wonderful work of J-Sei, a community care and cultural organization now in its 55th year. We have supported the wonderful people and programs at J-Sei over many years and hope you will contribute to this extraordinary community organization.

The above photos show some of the activities we were involved with this past year at J-Sei: A MEDICC Report Back on Cuba (top); activities supporting the Crystal City Pilgrimage; including lei making; a display of a 3D Crystal City Internment Camp model; members of the Crystal City Pilgrimage Committee and a conversation with author Scott Kurashige including Eddy Zheng and Eryn Kimura.

May is Asian Pacific Heritage month and we are joining the Asian Pacific Fund for this fundraising effort. Josie and I ask for your help to sustain and grow important J-Sei Programs for elders:

* Home-Delivered Lunches in partnership with Meals on Wheels America provided 35,000  hot, nutritious lunches to older adults who are unable to shop or prepare their own meals. 

* Food Pantry Program, in partnership with the Alameda County Community Food Bank, provides supplemental grocery items to many seniors who need assistance, both delivered or on-site pick up

* Resources to Counter Anti-Asian Racism offers ways to communicate and de-escalate tense situations, self defense and how to assist others in a time of increased violence against the AAPI community

* Support for educational and preservation of history efforts.

Whatever amount you are able to contribute is deeply appreciated, it will help the work of a very important community organization.
