As a champion of my company’s Asian Employee Resource Group and a dedicated advocate for AACHI’s mission, I proudly serve on its Board of Directors to support underserved communities.
The Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI) partners with local organizations to enhance public health & well-being through free, language-specific education, advocacy, and health navigation services. This work is critical in bridging gaps and ensuring equitable access to care. For our Give in May campaign, we hope you'll support our local nonprofit improve the culture of health for everyone.
I am committed to making a difference and invite you to join me in supporting this impactful mission. Together, we can help create healthier, stronger communities!

AACHI Supports the Community via our:
- Community Health Navigation (CHN) Program - We employ bilingual Community Health Workers (CHW) to facilitate access to & improve the quality of medical & social services for marginalized Asian and Asian American communities.
- Annual Community Health Fair - A yearly event for limited English proficiency (LEP) refugee communities.
- Mental Health Directory - An online tool for finding mental & behavioral healthcare in Texas, searchable by language & ethnicity to ensure access for those with LEP.
- Outreach, community-building, educational, mental health, vaccination, and cultural events. We partner with other local organizations as much as possible to create collaborative events + programming.
- Other programs providing culturally-appropriate services guided by the 5 social determinants of health.
Each year, AACHI:
- Serves 300-400 Asian immigrants and their families
- Assists community members in gaining or maintaining health coverage (over 95% of our clients are covered compared to 79.3% of Texas adults)
- Schedules over 1,000 medical appointments for clients & attends hundreds of them with clients to advocate for them
- Responds to events such as COVID-19, winter storms, etc. to support our clients' needs
