MHACC joins GiveInMay to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month to uplift mental well-being together
MHACC 加入GiveInMay,在亞太裔傳統月和精神健康月為精神健康發聲
Statistics reveal a daunting reality: 1 in 4 adults in the U.S. will face a mental disorder in their lifetime. Yet, in the Asian American community, the path to seeking treatment is often overshadowed by stigma and language barrier, becoming a road less traveled.
In 2012 MHACC was established in California. Our mission was clear: to focus on better mental health within the Chinese community, to break the silence, and to eliminate stigma.
From the Bay Area to the many cities within So-Cal, our efforts have extended across the state. We've grown from a small, passionate team to an organization that stands strong with about 30 dedicated employees and a vast network of volunteers. Our roots run deep in the working-classcommunities, where we've opened doors to mental health care that were once closed by language and cultural barrier
With your help, we can write the next chapter in our story—a story where hope shines brighter, where support is but a call away, and where our community embraces mental wellness with open arms.
