Heart Center Inc

The Heart Center was born from lived experience. Our founder, of Indian descent, lost her mother to violence as an infant, and her father is currently serving a life sentence for a crime he did not commit. That journey through grief, survival, and ultimately healing through ancient practices is the foundation of who we are.

Today, The Heart Center provides free, trauma-informed healing retreats and wellness programs for people impacted by incarceration across California. Grounded in earth-based traditions with roots in AANHPI lineages, our offerings include yoga, sound healing, pranayama (breathwork), reiki, community circles and more. These practices support nervous system regulation, deepen self-awareness, and help participants reconnect with their inherent worth. By blending time-honored healing modalities with a trauma-informed approach, we create space for self-love, restoration, and lasting transformation, all at no cost to participants.
