Right now, many Asian immigrant and refugee families, seniors, and youth are at risk of losing trusted care and support because of drastic funding cuts.
MARU has already lost $1.3M in critical funding—putting essential programs and community spaces at risk.
This AANHPI Heritage Month, you can take action to help protect what our community depends on.
Imagine being a young person trying to hold everything together—identity struggles, family expectations, school, pressure to succeed—without anyone to talk to in your own language or culture.
A feeling of anxiety that builds quietly.
A sense of isolation no one can see.
A moment of overwhelm that has nowhere to go.
No young person should have to carry that alone.
Wellness Warriors are here so no one has to.
We are a team of clinical social workers providing free, in-language, culturally resonant counseling for youth. We meet young people where they are at, whether in schools, community spaces, or virtually.
We support youth through:
Individual counseling sessions
Group counseling sessions
Holistic art and cultural workshops
“After struggling with suicidality and being hospitalized, MARU’s counseling room became my safe haven–a space where I get to be my whole self and learn valuable tools to deal with my emotions”

We don’t just provide counseling.
We turn moments of emotional overwhelm and isolation into pathways toward grounding, resilience, and connection.

Without immediate support, some of these services may be reduced or no longer available in the same way—leaving families, seniors, and youth without trusted places to turn.
We are coming together to raise money for critical school-based counseling that is being impacted by funding cuts.
Will you help ensure MARU remains a place where no one has to face hardship alone?
Your gift means a young person has someone to talk to before anxiety begins to feel unmanageable. A student has a safe space to speak about identity, family pressure, or school stress. It means when a young person reaches out, there is someone on the other end—ready to listen, hold space, and walk with them through it.
Your support directly powers real, immediate impact.
