$10,000 Goal

Right now, many Asian immigrant and refugee families, seniors, and youth are at risk of losing trusted care and support because of drastic funding cuts.

MARU has already lost $1.3M in critical funding—putting essential programs and community spaces at risk.

This AANHPI Heritage Month, you can take action to help protect what our community depends on.

Imagine trying to navigate health and social service systems alone—without clear support, in a language that isn’t your own.

A phone call goes unanswered.
A form feels impossible to complete.
A moment of need becomes overwhelming.

No one should have to face that alone.

Bridge Builders are here so no one has to.

We are the bridge between people and systems—offering in-language support to help people access health and social services in Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. We meet people where they are at, whether in-person or through our trusted language infolines.

We help people:

  • Understand their options

  • Get connected to services and resources

  • Complete applications and enroll in benefits

  • Receive follow-up so nothing falls through

“I was feeling overwhelmed after losing everything in a house fire, including my CalFresh EBT card. I was able to resolve the issue without any barriers with MARU’s staff guiding me through every step of the way.”

- Mr. Lee (he/him), MARU client

We don’t just help people navigate systems.

We turn moments of confusion and isolation into pathways toward connection, trust, and stability.

Without immediate support, some of these services may be reduced or no longer available in the same way—leaving families, seniors, and youth without trusted places to turn.

We are coming together to raise money for critical health and social services that are being impacted by funding cuts.

Will you help ensure MARU remains a place where no one has to face hardship alone?

Your gift means a senior gets medical care before an illness gets worse. A family enrolls in CalFresh so they have enough food each month. It means that when someone reaches out, there is someone on the other end—ready to listen, guide, and walk with them.

Your support directly powers real, immediate impact.
