At The Joy Culture Foundation, we believe culture is not just inherited. It is practiced, shared, and kept alive through everyday connection.

We address the growing need for accessible cultural and language resources for Chinese-speaking immigrant families in the Bay Area. Through our community library, featuring thousands of books in traditional and simplified Chinese, as well as Cantonese, we provide children and families with meaningful entry points into language, identity, and heritage. Alongside our library, weekly programs such as storytime, arts workshops, STEM activities, and cultural celebrations create spaces where children learn, create, and connect across generations.

These experiences help young people build confidence in who they are and where they come from. In a fast-changing world, we are creating a steady place where culture is not only preserved, but actively lived, affirmed, and shared.
