Michelle built ACH because no one should feel limited. It's a stepping stone, a vibrant community where every voice is amplified and every dream can be pursued. It all began in a college dorm room back in 2021, fueled by a personal journey of overcoming limitations. Growing up, navigating school was a struggle, marked by learning English and spending time in special education, which often felt like it closed doors to future opportunities.

By the time Michelle reached college, the challenge shifted to forging a career path, especially when she set her sights on the tech industry. The fear of not securing a job after graduation, coupled with the daunting prospect of being a woman in a male-dominated field, pushed her to seek every possible opportunity. Breaking into tech without prior experience felt like hitting a wall, as many industries demanded a high level of work experience that was hard to acquire. The only way in was through relentless volunteering and building her own projects to showcase her skills.

No one else should feel limited in their opportunities or alone in their pursuit of their dreams. As an Asian women, Michelle understood firsthand how hard it was to self-advocate. She wanted to build a space where everyone, especially from underrepresented backgrounds could access opportunities, feel belonged and have a stepping stone to excel. ACH exists to ensure others don't have to navigate these challenges alone, but find a community to feel heard and seen. 

CareerLAB is a free 12-week fellowship virtual program specifically designed for Asian high school students, college students, and early career professionals. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional excellence by providing real-world work experience and essential development skills. We aren’t just a course; it's a simulated corporate environment where fellows will own their career growth. Over 12 weeks, fellows will:

  • Take Ownership: Manage actual projects from conception to launch.

  • Build Infrastructure: Learn to navigate corporate politics, set boundaries, and master professional communication.

  • Bridge the Gap: Tackle the "Bamboo Ceiling" by developing authentic leadership styles.

We help..

High School Student (Juniors and Seniors) 

  • Undergraduate College Students (Freshman - Seniors)

  • Recent Graduates looking to jump start their careers.

  • Early Career Professionals with over 0-3 years of experience

Each week, fellows will attend workshops led by mentors from our directory. Key topics include:

  • Strategic Communication: Navigating difficult conversations, public speaking, and digital etiquette.

  • Personal Infrastructure: Overcoming imposter syndrome and performing "Time and Energy Audits".

  • Corporate Navigation: Mastering performance reviews and understanding office power dynamics.


Fellows will be integrated directly into the Asian Career House (ACH) Team. They will be matched with a department based on their interests and assigned a title such as Assistant, Coordinator, Specialist or Associate. Fellows will report directly to the Department Head who serves as a mentor and manager to guide fellows through their projects.
