At Prism Foundation, we’re doing more than breaking barriers. We’re opening doors for the QTAPI (Queer & Trans Asian and Pacific Islander) community in spaces where they’ve too often been unseen and unheard. I am so grateful to the Prism Foundation for choosing me as a scholarship recipient when I was an MSW student at the University of Washington Seattle. I'm proud to now serve on the board of directors.
Since Prism's founding, we’ve mobilized over $550,000 in grants and scholarships, helping 110 students pursue their dreams and empowering 128 organizations to build stronger, more inclusive communities. We have provided grants to organizations like UTOPIA Seattle, Lavender Phoenix (SF), Philadelphia Asian & Queer, the Transgender Education Network of Texas, and many more.
This past year, we are meeting the moment by launching two new named scholarships dedicated to supporting marginalized nonbinary and trans individuals. Furthermore we have expanded our grant programing to uplift emerging LGBTQ+ API organizations, and introducing a new two year grant program to create deeper, sustained impact.
As a volunteer-run organization, we can’t do it without you. During Give in May 2026, our goal is to rally as many donors as possible to unlock additional funding. Thank you for your support!
