For API Heritage Month, I’m raising funds for Prism Foundation. An organization that means a great deal to me! I’ve had the privilege of helping lead this all-volunteer organization through the pandemic and beyond, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact we can make together. To date, we’ve supported over 110 students, partnered with 125 organizations, and distributed more than $550,000 in funding—and we’re just getting started.
One of our scholarship recipients shared that receiving support from Prism meant “being able to show up even stronger for the queer Asian community.” Another grantee told us our funding helped turn an idea into a fully realized LGBTQ+ API youth leadership program in Oakland. These stories are why I continue this work—because every dollar goes directly back into uplifting our community.
