Elaine's Story:
It truly feels like my path to LEAP was destined. My career in education began as a classroom teacher, an experience that took me from Asia to New York City and finally to Los Angeles. Teaching in diverse public and private school environments highlighted a fundamental need I saw across the different settings, which was the need for individuals to explore and understand their own identities and histories. This realization sparked a pivotal shift, leading me back to graduate school and a move to Los Angeles to pursue an aspiration I couldn't clearly define yet.
During that period of exploration, I discovered my desire to expand beyond the traditional classroom that ultimately brought me to LEAP. My experience here has beautifully aligned my passions with the purpose and skills I've cultivated, allowing me to wake up each day knowing I'm engaged in meaningful work.
