2026 OCA National Convention Fellowship

Every year, the OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates National Convention brings together voices from across the country—students, young professionals, community leaders, and advocates—united by a shared commitment to advancing the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander community.

For many, attending this convention is more than just a trip.  It is a turning point.

It is where a student meets a mentor who changes their path.
Where a young leader finds the confidence to speak up.
Where connections are formed that last a lifetime.

In 2026, this national gathering will take place in Detroit—a city deeply rooted in both history and community, and home to the Association of Chinese Americans (ACA), one of OCA’s founding chapters.

But for many who would benefit the most from this experience, there is a barrier: cost.

Registration fees and travel expenses can make attending out of reach—especially for students, first-time attendees, and emerging leaders who are just beginning their journeys.

That’s why ACA is launching the 2026 OCA National Convention Fellowship as part of our GiveInMay campaign.

Our goal is simple, but powerful:
to ensure that those who want to be there—can be there.

We aim to raise $5,000 to:

• Sponsor 10 full convention registrations
• Provide travel support through a dedicated grant fund

With $350, you can sponsor one person’s registration.
With $150, you can help cover travel costs.
With $500, you can make it possible for one individual to fully participate.
