Narika was founded in 1992 by a group of immigrant women in the Bay Area seeking an end to the violence hidden behind doors. 29 years later, Narika still supports survivors of domestic violence, especially those in the South Asian and AAPI communities who face additional cultural, economic, legal and lingual barriers to recovery.  Narika's team of linguistically diverse and culturally responsive advocates supports survivors with case management, legal and housing needs, job training and counseling, for as many years as is needed. All services are 100% free and confidential.

This May, in honor of AAPI Heritage Month, Narika has joined the #GiveInMay Campaign to raise awareness on the heightened rates of violence faced by AAPI communities. Read more about our work on our website and donate now to support your friends, families and communities experiencing violence at home and needing pathways to safety, empowerment and wellness.

Cases of domestic violence have tripled since the start of the pandemic. We need your support now to help our survivors find safety and achieve their dreams.
