During the 2020 elections in Long Beach, voters ages 18- 34 made up 25% of the electorate and 46% of those who voted were Black, Asian and Latinx.
Your donations will support a sustainable infrastructure for our Integrated Voter Engagement (IVE) program. We educate and mobilize a progressive voter block of young people of color to take action on issues that impact our collective health and future. We connect with voters three times a year, during elections and off- election season too.
In 2020 and up to the present moment, we have transitioned to remote phone banking. Contributions will ensure we are equipped with the most up to date technology to mobilize voters remotely.
Donating to this cause is another way to invest in holistic youth development. Transitional age youth leaders, members of our alumni base and community residents are employed as part-time seasonal canvassers. This program offers them pathways to lead civic engagement work.
