Hello there Friends & Family:  To quote my mother-in-law (who recently turned 100): “don’t get old kiddo!”  I haven’t found the fountain of youth, but J-Sei is close.  This beloved nonprofit helps our East Bay Area Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) senior citizens feel youthful with chef-prepared delivered meals (nutrition program), fun activities and friendly visitors and callers for those who are isolated.  As a board member I have witnessed how J-Sei and its many volunteers bring vital services and an array of classes for the spirit and mind (like yoga, singing and painting to list a small few) to many seniors in safe and inclusive ways.  So you too can see the joy that these enriching programs bring to seniors, here is a link to a short video:

My husband Ken has been helping both his mother and aunt in their later years.  This makes us especially appreciative of the resources that J-Sei provides for the families of seniors.   Caregiving for our parents is challenging, but J-Sei’s services, such as helping secure in-home caregivers, go a long way in relieving some of the stress.   We don’t really think about these things until we are in need, but fortunately for us, J-Sei’s staff and volunteers think about how to help seniors and their families every day.  I welcome you to see for yourselves how much care and love goes into providing healthy meals for our seniors:

While nature won’t allow us to follow my mother-in-law’s advice, we can support the services and programs that take the bite out of aging.   I am coming to you seeking a donation for J-Sei – a nonprofit.  PLEASE HELP J-SEI BY MAKING A DONATION OF ANY AMOUNT.  THANK YOU AND ALSO HAPPY ASIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH!  ❤️ Naomi
