Chinese American Museum Fundraiser

The Chinese American Museum is a space dedicated to sharing the history and stories of the Chinese American community in Los Angeles and beyond. Over the past two years, our institution has reflected upon what our museum means to the AAPI community and understanding our role as an educational resource.  

In honor of AAPI Heritage Month, we encourage you to be a part of this effort and donate to our Give in May campaign. For this month, CAM will be hosting a series of in-person and virtual programming to honor the diversity within our community. Your support allows us to continue developing these types of free public programs and educational resources. We welcome all donations to continue to uplift our stories.

Programs & Exhibitions 

Programs like Kids Storytime Featuring Asian American Children’s Authors gives our youth an opportunity to see themselves represented in literature and exposes them to the creative field of writing and illustrating.

The annual program, Commemorating the Legacy of Vincent Chin, pays tribute to Chin and reflects on the Asian American Movement his death ignited. Last year, we dedicated 8 consecutive days of programs to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Chinese Massacre of 1871, a tragedy in our city’s history, unknown by most, and a story that we refuse to let remain in darkness. 

Our latest exhibition, Collective Resilience: Asian American Artists Honoring Our Community’s Strength and Unity, is our testament to the AAPI community that continues to show strength in a time of increased hatred and violence and offers hope for a more united and peaceful future.     

Through these programs, CAM is dedicated to creating an impact by amplifying community voices, sharing our histories, and creating spaces to come together and move forward united.
