Help Us Fill the Gap. Keep Our Communities Rooted.
Last month, we learned that AARW may lose over $50,000 in City of Boston funding due to unexpected budget cuts. These funds sustain core programs that our communities rely on every day.
Without this support, critical work is at risk:
- DOT-I, our multiracial youth training program engaging Vietnamese, Black, and Brown young people in Dorchester year-round
- Women’s Circle, our leadership development space for Vietnamese mothers and women to build community, share experiences, and grow as leaders
So now, we are asking our community to help us fill this gap.
Why This Matters
Founded in 1979, the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW) has been a political home for pan-Asian communities in Greater Boston for over 45 years. We are a member-led organization building grassroots power through political education, creative expression, and organizing.
Today, our communities are facing overlapping crises: Rising rents and displacement, detention and deportation, overpolicing and incarceration, and climate instability
These are not separate issues. They are all forms of displacement that uproot our people from their homes, families, and futures. At AARW, we organize so our communities can stay, heal, and thrive.
What Your Gift Makes Possible
Your support right now will:
- Sustain youth leadership development for young people organizing in Dorchester
- Keep culturally-rooted spaces like Women’s Circle accessible and consistent
- Ensure AARW can continue showing up for our communities in a time of deep need
We are working to raise $50,000 to replace this lost funding and keep our programs running without disruption. Give today to help us close this gap and continue building power in our communities.
