About VietRISE

VietRISE is a community-based organization in Little Saigon, Orange County that builds leadership and collective power among working-class Vietnamese and immigrant communities to advance social, economic, and immigrant justice. Through year-round organizing, we develop leaders across our core programs — from youth leadership through Tự Lực School for Organizing, to community outreach and voter engagement through our field organizing programs, political education through People’s Tours of Little Saigon, and direct support through our Resident Support Team.

We lead campaigns that fight for housing stability, defend immigrant communities, and hold local government accountable, while advancing legal empowerment through partnerships like the OC Immigrant and Refugee Liberty Fund. By connecting everyday experiences to collective action, we organize residents to shape policy and build long-term power — working toward a future where our communities are not just represented, but leading the decisions that shape our lives.

Mission

VietRISE advances social justice and builds power with working-class Vietnamese and immigrant communities in Orange County. We build leadership and create systemic change through organizing, narrative change, cultural empowerment, and civic engagement.

Vision

We envision a Little Saigon where working-class Vietnamese and immigrant communities can live, work, and organize with dignity and stability.
