Founded in 2016, VietLead is a community based organization working with the Vietnamese & Southeast Asian community in Philadelphia and South Jersey. We develop culturally resilient and community driven solutions to improve health, increase sovereignty, and strengthen political power by developing “Vietnamese Leadership in Solidarity” with other working class communities of color.
As a community shaped by the trauma of war and displacement, our mission is to:
HEAL: Restore dignity by reclaiming our ancestral traditions and cultural histories.
RESIST: Build immigrant and refugee leadership with the capacity to fight injustices.
GROW: Create thriving working class communities for the ecological well being of Earth and our people.
