About Us

Sunday Jump is a community arts organization in the Historic Filipinotown neighborhood of Los Angeles. We facilitate a safe space for marginalized voices to share stories and create genuine connections through the arts.

Sunday Jump hosts monthly open mics during the first Sunday of each month from May to November. Since Sunday Jump's founding in 2012, over 150 independent artists were featured and moved the hearts of over 4,200 attendees

The foundation of all Sunday Jump activities are these two community guidelines:

  • Express, Not Impress: It’s not about the snaps and claps. It’s about sharing your love for your art.
  • Free Speech, Not Hate Speech: It’s not about putting each other down. It’s about uplifting our community

Sunday Jump is a teenager now and is entering its thirteenth season. In honor of our thirteenth season, we hope to raise $13,000 to continuing our programming and creating a safe space for expression for marginalized voices, including but not limiting to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. We are $8,000 away from reaching our goal!

This season, our theme is Time Check. Living for the day is a call to be present. We define the meaning of who we are by seizing the gift of today. Opportunities come and go, and sometimes pass by without us acting on it. While tomorrow is not promised, this moment is yours to make.

Your donation will go towards honorariums for featured artists as well as improving our sound equipments.

Thank you, isang bagsak!
