For over 27 years, Project by Project (PbP) has worked to develop the next generation of Asian American leaders through volunteering, pro bono consulting, fundraising, and community advocacy. We are a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit, with chapters serving the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American communities of New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Each year, PbP selects a new campaign to educate our volunteers about and provide awareness in the greater community. We've helped fundraise and raise awareness for a wide variety of social causes that have continued to impact our community - from housing, homelessness, immigration, domestic violence, health care, voter engagement, mental health, education access, to sustainability.

This year, we are highlighting Food Insecurity

Access to affordable, quality food is a basic human right that unfortunately has become harder for communities to achieve due to inflation and rising costs.

In 2024, Project by Project will focus on addressing the impact of food insecurity on our communities and exploring ways to increase access of healthy, culturally relevant foods.

Food security is not a simple issue of addressing hunger, it is also intertwined with language assistance, physical health, access to health care, mental health, access to community services, and opportunities for work.

Each year, PbP provides over 30,000 hours in human capital across all three chapters, mainly through direct services to the Asian American community. Our Annual Tasting Event, Plate by Plate, is the AAPI communities largest showcase of food from small business owners while fundraising for our beneficiary partner. To ensure our volunteers are equipped to be advocates for their respective communities and become allies to others, we provide ongoing leadership development training and social justice workshops.

Your support of Project by Project strengthens the leadership pipeline for Asian Americans and ensures we have community-minded leaders helping represent our community.

We thank you for your support!
