$2,500 Goal

Obremski/Works is an AAPI equity-minded non-profit organization with an internationally presented creation-based dance company and Fellowships which both enhance the careers and lives of AAPI representing individuals.

The two equal cornerstones of the organization, Company and Fellowships, challenge established norms of AAPI individuals and shape what AAPI artistry means.

The VISION Fellowship emerges from the need to support developing AAPI artists, in collegiate or university settings, with support to immerse themself within the field and work being showcased. This $750 financial reimbursement allows year-round space and support for Fellow(s) to cultivate a voice for themself by seeing performances and engaging with the arts community, in addition to their collegiate development, to imagine and envision what their future can be.

The VOYAGER Fellowship stems from deep empathy for those who go through the visa process. This fellowship is geared toward supporting the cultural sharing and diversity of our arts field in New York with international artists to the United States. The Fellow must be applying for their O-1 visa in the year of the award in which the $1,000 financial stipend is geared towards. In partnership with multiple organizations and individuals, the Fellow will be supported with access to visa application workshop(s), performance/choreographic opportunities, and receive a letter of recommendation from Obremski/Works, among other supportive opportunities.

The fundraising goal of $2,500 is specifically for our AAPI Support Fellowships.
