LANA is fundraising to support our programs and the civic engagement work that we do with organizations nationwide who serve Lao, Hmong, Iu Mien, Khmu, and additional ethnic groups with roots in Laos.
Your donation means so much to us and will help LANA continue to develop meaningful and impactful programs. Some of our existing programs and projects are LANA Votes, the anti-disinformation project and State of Laotian Americans, and the racial equity project.
In 1999, community leaders with roots from Laos gathered to establish a national organization.
Today, as a national community-based non-profit, we amplify the underrepresented voices and empower our multi-ethnic community through education, visibility, and collaboration. We set up specific goals to ensure we make our vision a reality:
- Promote civic participation, education, and leadership across the Laotian American community
- Advocate for social justice, equal opportunity, and fair treatment for all multi-ethnic groups from Laos
- Develop a new generation of non-profit, public sector, and corporate leaders
- Advance coalitions and community building efforts
- Increase funding support for Laotian community-based organizations
For more than 20 years we have been dedicated to advancing the social and economic well-being of the multi-ethnic Laotian Americans in the United States. LANA is committed to building power with Laotian Americans through education, visibility, and collaboration.
- Education: Creating educational resources to increase the general public’s understanding of our diverse community and needs.
- Visibility: Increasing the visibility of Laotian Americans through promoting Laotian American participation in public service and leadership.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with Laotian led organizations, national organizations, and cultural leaders to build power with the community
