The International Leadership Foundation (ILF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes the civic engagement, leadership empowerment, & economic prosperity of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community to enhance the representation of diversity in our country. The mission of ILF is to cultivate civic-minded future AAPI & Asian leaders in public service.
Our programs include the Civic Fellowship Program, Global Exchange Program, Leadership and Business Conference, and Leadership Activities. These programs offer a series of internships, lectures, seminars, and discussions on topics ranging from international business relations to public policy and the legislative process.
The Washington D.C. Civic Fellowship is the nation’s most prestigious AAPI civic leadership development program. Each Fellow participates in a supervised training program, including a public service internship to learn how to network and access government and public policy to help their communities. ILF also sponsors over one hundred additional college students each year for the Washington Leadership Program in conjunction with other leading AAPI organizations.
For the past two decades, ILF has been advocating for the needs of the AAPI community, especially in creating opportunities for AAPI youth and business owners. We provide civic and leadership training and have opened doors of opportunity for thousands of AAPI college and high school students. ILF has a network of 20 chapters across the country including business leaders, civil leaders, youth leaders, and grassroots community leaders. ILF has provided scholarships and leadership training for over 10,000 AANHPI college students from across the country. ILF annual programs include:
