Institute for Civic Education in Vietnam (ICEVN) is a non-profit 501( c)(3) organization founded in 2005 and based in Houston, Texas. It was established to promote and impart basic knowledges of civic education as well as social responsibilities, practices of duty, obligation and rights of citizen to the people of Vietnam, focusing on the relationships among citizens and between citizens and the government, and to participate in building a vibrant civil society. Special focus of the educational programs will be in the areas of managerial leadership training, entrepreneurship and transparency development; and linguistic and cultural translation of civic knowledge. This will help citizens of Vietnam to deal more effectively with the increasingly global market and society.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of ICEVN is to promote social responsibilities and transparency in Vietnam by providing civic education, entrepreneurship education, and managerial leadership development.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Institute for Civic Education in Vietnam are to provide the following programs:
Provide courses (including distance learning) and workshops on entrepreneurship, managerial leadership development, civic education and civic leadership skills development;
Provide translation into Vietnamese the theories and literature on civil society and the democratic way of life;
Provide comprehensive “train-the-trainer” classes to targeted group of people who will become trainers for ICEVN in the future;
Recruit fellows for these courses and provide a mentoring program for the graduated fellows to replicate training modules at the local level;
Provide an on-line forum for exchanging ideas and best practices among participants and affiliates about leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic education;
Network and collaborate with other international organizations, which have similar interests in leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic education to learn from best practices and to foster collaboration among the nations.
