$20,000 Goal

MFC provides career-based mentoring to first-generation low-income (FGLI) and unhoused youths in Los Angeles. Our primary objective is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by providing equity of access to structured mentorship and communal support for youths to achieve their academic and career goals. In 2023, MFC launched sites in South LA and DTLA to serve youths experiencing homelessness. This opportunity has opened doors for us to reach an even more challenged population, enabling us to double our impact by increasing our student enrollment.

A major component of MFC's program is providing scholarships to mentees who graduate from our year-long program. The criteria to receive the scholarship is:

1. Successful completion of the MFC program

2. Graduation from high school

3. Proof of enrollment in higher education.

In 2024, we expect to disburse $20,000 in college scholarships to FGLI youths who have graduated from our mentoring program in previous years. 100% of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the scholarship fund.

Join us in supporting our youth!
