$5,000 Goal

Cinema Sala is a platform showcasing Filipino and Filipino-American work in film and the performing arts through programming, distribution, and education.

We are a movement of Filipinx filmmakers striving for representation for our stories that are not yet reflected in mainstream media, and who are brimming with talent and original content.

Through this, we aim to enrich Philippine culture and unite our communities around the world.

This year, we're raising funds for our upcoming CinEskwela screening for Filipino-American History Month is October. Last year we were able to screen Dekada '60 at UCLA along with a Q&A with filmmakers and survivors of Martial Law in the Philippines. All funds raised will go towards screening archived Filipino film about the LGBTQIA+ community.
