$5,000 Goal

At Bengali Interfaith Youth Empowerment (BIYE), we create a safe haven for South Asian youth ages 13-24 in New York City. Our programs provide critical mental health support, cultural connection, and community building for young people navigating the challenges of identity, belonging, and growth. As the founder and executive director of BIYE, I've personally funded our programs because I've seen firsthand how vital this work is. Growing up Bengali in New York, I navigated the complex terrain between cultures often feeling alone. Too many young people in our community suffer in silence with depression, anxiety, and isolation. But I can no longer sustain this work alone. Our youth deserve consistent support, not dependent on a single person's ability to fund it.  Join Our Community of Support Every contribution helps us reach our goal of $5,000. $25: Provides a meal for 5 youth at our weekly gathering $50: Funds art supplies for therapeutic expression sessions $100: Sponsors one youth for a month of programming $500: Helps cover a week of rent for our safe space $1,000: Funds a mental health professional for multiple sessions $5,000: Becomes a major sponsor of our youth programming.
