$1,000 Goal

On April 17, 2021, over a thousand people from across Texas came together for the largest #StopAsianHate Rally in the nation. Fueled by the support and generosity of our community that day, the organizers created a vision for an organization that would mobilize and embolden AAPIs and our allies at all stages of the civic process — Asian Texans for Justice.

Asian Texans for Justice (ATJ) was founded to be a voice for our state’s diverse Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community — to claim our space and inspire Texas to invest in our stories. We envision a future where all people feel bold in their belonging.

Currently, there is no statewide organization devoted to advancing social justice, civic engagement, and advocacy of the Texas AAPI community. ATJ’s strategic programming focuses on:

  • Advocacy & Civic Engagement
  •  Community & Coalition Building
  •  Youth Leadership Development

Our mission is to connect Asian and Pacific Islander Texans to meaningful civic action to build personal and political power. We do this by building coalitions with leaders and organizations across Texas and the country, build a talent pipeline with leadership development, and advocate for issues that can bring meaningful change for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
