ASIAN, Inc. is a non-profit organization that strengthens Asian Americans and other minority communities in Northern California. By assisting in their physical, economic and social development, we seek to overcome their systemic dependencies.  We have been empowering communities is to reject dependency as a permanent unalterable condition. We do so by mobilizing, partnering, and collaborating with the nonprofit, business, government, and philanthropic sectors to advance social and economic equity.

For more than 50 years, ASIAN, Inc. has been meeting the growing needs of Asian Americans and other minorities, particularly for low- to moderate- income (LMI) Asian Americans with diverse multi-cultural and multi-linguistic needs, by leveraging public and private lender funds to meet the financing and technical assistance needs of emerging small businesses, affordable housing and sustainable homeownership. ASIAN, Inc. has successfully orchestrated some of the following projects and accomplishments:

• As Sole Operator of the Northern California MBDA Business Center in San Jose, ASIAN, Inc. has over 700 Minority Business Clients with annual revenues ranging from nothing to $110 million.  Since 2007, the center has secured over $220 million in contracts and over $94 million in funding for it's clients.
• Assisted and led the formation and incorporation of over 200 community-based trade associations, economic development and social service organizations, and a community development credit union.
• Developed over 1,000 units of affordable housing in impacted areas, including 200 affordable condominiums in San Francisco and Daly City, substantial rehabilitation of over 550 affordable rental units, and the new construction of over 250 Low Income Housing Tax Credit-assisted units.

• Assisted over 100 single-family homeowners with affordable housing rehabilitation loans in the San Francisco neighborhoods of Chinatown, North Beach, Crocker Amazon, Mission, Outer Mission, Ingleside, Excelsior, Visitacion Valley and Bay View Hunter’s Point.
• Manage and control 403 affordable units in Chinatown, South of Market, North of Market and Mission neighborhoods.
• Providing Pre-Purchase and Foreclosure Intervention and Prevention services to over 3,500 clients in 20 Northern California counties since 2008.
