Asian American Recovery Services (AARS) provides an array of culturally competent services to the Asian and Pacific Islander and other ethnically diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area.

AARS is dedicated to reducing the impact and incidence of substance use in the Bay Area. Our programs serve youth, adults, and families, and are located in San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties. Our culturally oriented, gender-responsive approaches are delivered by multicultural and multilingual staff who are a part of the communities they serve.

AARS was established in 1985  to provide culturally-responsive substance use disorder treatment programs and continues to adapt to meet community needs. In 2013, AARS joined the HealthRIGHT 360 family of programs which provides primary medical care, mental health services, substance use disorder treatment and re-entry services to over 44,000 people in California annually.

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by joining us on May 8th in San Jose for the 29th SISTER-to-SISTER Leadership Conference: Celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Women of Tomorrow. Since 1995, AARS has provided a unique experience for girls from San Francisco Bay Area middle and high schools to spend an inspiring day sharing their experiences, hearing from community leaders, and celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) culture. This event is free to attend; donations are welcome. REGISTER HERE
