APALI

A nonprofit organization

MISSION: The Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute's (APALI) mission is to build a multigenerational, Asian American & Pacific Islander leadership pipeline through training and community building to collectively empower grassroots and grasstops change in government, nonprofit, education, and business.

APALI’s 26 year impact track record is based on two connected strategies:

(1) Training promising leaders using a best-in-class APALI Training Model.
(2) Nurturing a community of leaders for mutual support, leadership success, and civic impact.

APALI developed a unique education model. Through four multigenerational programs, we train APA leaders at multiple points in their lives in ethnic studies, self-care, public policy, and civic career planning. This curriculum produces authentic, self-aware, and prepared APA leaders ready to protect, advocate, and advance the APA community. In addition to leadership training, APALI fosters a support system for APA civic leaders by building a community of alumni and public official allies so APA leaders never feel alone. APALI training inspires leaders of today and tomorrow to grow through a combination of developing awareness, knowledge, skills, values, motivation, and community to make a difference.
