AAFE Community Development Fund is a U.S. Treasury designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to promoting, protecting and advancing homeownership for minority, immigrant, low- and moderate- income, and underserved households and communities in New York City.

As New York keeps moving toward being a city of renters, AAFE Community Development Fund (CDF) encourages and protects the viability of home ownership to keep New York City neighborhoods and households stable and to help our clients and their families build wealth.

Since 1999, AAFE CDF has helped New Yorkers from all five boroughs by providing homeowner counseling, homebuyer education and making loans to assist both homebuyers and homeowners. Over the years, we have helped hundreds of clients buy their homes and helped many others keep them in good condition.

Homebuyer Education Classes and Seminars
Our homebuyer education classes and seminars will teach you how to become a homeowner. Come learn the steps to homeownership and find out about available assistance for down payment and closing costs. Understand the importance of credit and how to qualify for an affordable mortgage.

Lending Services
We offer affordable low-interest loans to homeowners to make repairs or improvements to their primary homes, as well as down payment assistance loans for first–time homebuyers. We provide our lending services to homeowners in NYC’s 5 boroughs, Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk counties.

One-on-One Homeownership Counseling
Our team of HUD-certified housing counselors can guide you through the entire homebuying process. Our free 1:1 counseling is available in English and Chinese.
