SUPPORT ARU LEADERSHIP CAMP 2024

In honor of AAPI heritage month, ARU is participating in the Give In May. Your fund will allow ARU to continue our arts, wellness, and community programming and campaigns for refugee and queer justice in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and the San Francisco Bay Area! Our priority campaign for this fundraiser is ARU’s 4 days in-Person Youth Leadership Camp retreat for Nepali speaking Bhutanese refugees and children of refugees in Harrisburg, PA. During the Spring semester, 30+ youths from all over the U.S. have been attending weekly virtual sessions where they learn about our community’s history, community building skills, and leadership skills. During the in-person retreat, the Youths will further grow their skills, and develop projects to address challenges in the communities. The Camp also welcomes 100+ local Harrisburg, PA youths for a day long Youth Summit for projects presentations and a resource fair. The funds raised through this campaign will help ARU provide accommodations, food, training supplies, and need based travel scholarships for Leadership Camp Youths.
